In today's article, I am going to tell you about a very untouched lead generation method and how you can use it to get far ahead of your competitors. Let’s get into it!


Let me start by saying that most business owners don’t even know about two-step lead generation.


They may have heard or read at some point about it, but I can surely tell you that the majority if not more, don’t use it. 


Most businesses go for the well-known way…


They advertise using one-step lead generation.


They create an ad where they talk about how good their business and product is,

next, they tell you the benefits of it and at the end of the ad they’ll give you an offer.


Very simple I know. 


But believe me, the majority of businesses get even that wrong.


Let me tell you about a way, a strategy, an untapped opportunity on how to get the most out of your marketing using…


Two-step lead generation


Two-step lead generation is not much used rather from businesses or marketing agencies.


So if you get this right then you will have an opportunity to get double, triple maybe even ten times better results than before.


This one will be a bit trickier to understand so before I get into it I want to ask you something.


Did you ever click on an ad and all of a sudden the ad follows you for the next week or two?


Well if yes then this is made using 2 step lead generation.


The first Ad


Let’s say you want to sell a Botox treatment. 


Instead of giving your audience an offer and trying to sell it to them with the first ad just like you would do it with one-step lead generation.

What you do is you create a little video and speak for one minute about why botox is such a good idea and what benefit it brings with it, or you do the same with an Article and speak about:


“How to get rid of crows feet and lines on your forehead”


Or


“Read this before you do botox in the area of …)


Our goal for this ad is to get a conversion event. No offer, no trying to sell.


The Facebook Pixel (conversion tracking system) will tell us how many people we converted.


To give you an example, let’s say we got 100.000 views with this ad.


Through the Facebook pixel, we will find out how many people of that 100.000 were clicking on our ad and watched the video or read the article. 


So if let’s say 5000 out of 100.000 people were actually clicking on the ad or reading the article what do we know now?


We know that these 5000 people are genuinely interested in Botox, and this is an excellent audience for us.


The second Ad


What we can do now, instead of advertising to 100.000 people, we create an ad with an offer,

and retarget those exact 5000 people who were showing genuine interest in botox and make them an offer.


You’ll get a much higher conversion rate through doing it that way AND you will save a lot of money.


Do you want to know the interesting part about this?


The benefits of doing two-step lead generation


In the past, the only way you could have done that, you could have retargeted this audience, is by getting their email address, getting it on a list, and sending them an email, over and over again.


These days you give them a cookie, like the Facebook or Google cookie and you can retarget. 


Again and again, and again.


I mean just imagine the odds, of someone buying when they see the ad for the very first time.


It’s pretty low, let me tell you…


Maybe they're on the bus right now, maybe their kid pipes up and they have to do something, and then well, the ad is gone.


This means to get more conversions you need to show them the ad a couple of times.


Let’s say (based on the example before) you want to show your ad 10 times to those 100.000 people, this cost you one million views in total to do so.


But if you instead show your retargeting ad 10 times to those 5000 people (of which you know are genuinely interested in what you offer) this will only cost you 50.000 views.


That’s 1/20th of the budget, plus you have a way better reach, a way better audience, AND a way higher chance of converting them into paying customers.


Never before has it been so easy, this is an incredible opportunity and people don’t understand this.
